Plus, hotel rooms are provided free of charge to all out of town officials. Transportation was provided to out of town officials to all of their games. - Committee members accumulated 764 draw prizes for players (4 for each team), including 191 custom orange stinger sticks with Esso Golden Ring imprinted on them. All players received Esso Golden Ring souvenir items - lapel pins, pens, posters and a custom necklace. All Bunny and Novice teams received participation medals for their friendship series.

- The "control centre" was at East Twin and was staffed with committee members and volunteers all weekend who circulated game scores, uploaded scores to the website, compiled results, and generated pre-printed gamesheets for all games.
- Committee members were linked by cellular phones donated by Fido, and averaged more than 500 km of driving over the weekend.

The Control Centre
What is the control centre?
It is the heart of the tournament. It is here that volunteers from all the different arenas phone in game scores which are entered into a software program that helps in calculating which teams are advancing. Then, control room workers generate gamesheets for the next round of games.
Gamesheets from across the city are shuttled to the control center where each one is checked and verified. These same drivers take the new gamesheets and deliver them back to all the arenas.
It is also here where decisions are made to "troubleshoot" ongoing occurances.
